On December 1, exciting news arrived from the China Electricity Council: Indonesia Java Company has been awarded the highest honor in the 2025 Golden Key · Power Sector Special—the Special Prize in the Overseas Responsibility category. This recognition signifies that the Company’s practical achievements in fulfilling overseas social responsibility and biodiversity conservation have received the industry’s highest level of endorsement. The case will be included in the Electric Power Enterprise Action Plan for SDGs (2025) and promoted as a benchmark example of overseas responsibility fulfillment within the power industry for exchange and dissemination.

The Company’s submitted case, “Guardians of the Mangroves”— CHN Energy Indonesia Java Company’s Ecological Protection Practices for Mangroves and Wildlife, is grounded in the local ecological characteristics of Indonesia. Centered on mangrove and wildlife conservation, it details how the Company, through systematic mangrove planting, restoration, and wildlife habitat protection plans, transformed the project site into a model of ecological harmony, achieving synergistic development between project construction and environmental protection. It vividly demonstrates the Company’s successful practice of actively implementing ESG-driven green development concepts and engaging in local ecological conservation while providing high-quality power energy to Indonesia, earning high praise from the judging experts.
